Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client.

Massage is manual soft tissue manipulation, and includes holding, causing movement, and/or applying pressure to the body.

Therapy is a series of actions aimed at achieving or increasing health and wellness.

Manual means by use of hand or body.

Massage Therapy is performed with the client lying comfortably on a massage table covered with a towel or a sheet. You will be asked to undress in private and you may leave your underwear off or on, at your discretion. The therapist will undrape only that part of the body being massaged, insuring that your modesty is respected at all times.  Relaxing music of your choice will be played, if you wish, during the treatment.

Prior to your treatment you will fill out a medical history form and discuss your massage treatment needs with the therapist. After that, all you need to do is relax and experience!

“Massage facilitates a slowing down and quieting of the mind.  You don’t have to do anything... just be there.  The rhythms slow and the energy comes from other hands and infuses you.”
