The word Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) means "Universal Life Energy'' and is an ancient system of natural healing. Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive, heart centered method of facilitating natural healing, which can be used to reduce stress and to promote well-being. It is intangible, invisible, formless, not of the senses, a subtle

field of energy, the essence of life, universal life energy. Reiki manifests in us as health, joy, spontaneity, vitality, radiance, contentment, life, and knowing. We experience Reiki by remaining in the moment, letting go of thoughts, connecting to our breath, acknowledging any and all feelings and allowing ourselves to just be. In addition to individual Reiki treatments.

Treatments are performed with the client lying comfortably on a massage table. The treatment will take about one hour with the therapist beginning the series of hand positions on the front of the body and ending on the back. You are fully clothed for your session, and the treatments are very gentle.

Reiki Training is taught in several day-long classes at Amethyst Point throughout the year by Reiki Masters. If you are interested in learning the art of Reiki or becoming a Reiki Master, watch for Reiki classes on our Workshops and Calendar pages or call our office for more information about the requirements and length of the program.

Reiki Share is a series of monthly meetings where our reiki master. This is an opportunity for Reiki practitioners to come together to exchange Reiki treatments. Through this exchange of treatments, energy is replenished.  Participants have an opportunity to ask questions and network with each other.
